Dojo Rules

1. Bow upon entering mat
2. Be on time for class (try to arrive 10 minutes before class begins)
3. Whoever is leading class is in charge, regardless of age and rank
4. No cussing
5. Treat all others, including yourself, with respect
6. Students must wear uniform (gi) white/blue
7. Keep the uniform (gi) clean
8. Remove and take care of all jewelry
9. Keep finger nails and toes nails cut short at all times
10. Sweep the mats before and after classes
11. Line up according to belt ranking
12. Give higher ranked belts room during sparring
13. NO COACHING AT ALL UNLESS YOU ARE TOLD

Belt ranking

The ranking system gives a rough estimation of a student’s ability level and time in training. There are 5 basic colors: white, blue, purple, brown and black. Test is not a requirement, but an option for students who enjoy the art and wish to progress in rank and skills, eventually achieving black belt.
